Mercedes Electric Supply, Inc. has been a certified Woman/Minority Owned Business for over 25 years. Mercedes LaPorta, President is a member of the Woman’s Business Enterprise National Council, Woman President’s Organization and Zenith Group. These groups help woman business owners connect with large national and multi-national corporations. Being certified with WBENC, and a member of WPO and Zenith has resulted in business with Office Depot and MGM properties, with more to come.
Mercedes Electric Supply, Inc. is committed to doing business with other WBE’s whenever possible. Helping other woman owned businesses grow is something Mercedes LaPorta believes in and tries to instill upon her employees. Through WBENC, Mercedes is able to mentor other WBE’s locally. Nationally, her involvement in WBENC’s Ambassador’s program allows her to promote WBENC’s initiative to other corporations.
